Yes, it is I - Peter.

Well, the time has finally come - I, Peter Chapman, am making a post on the blog. Given that Community South has deemed Facebook an "inappropriate" site to visit on the world wide web, I have had to succumb and post my first official blurb on the blog. I have yet to determine how Facebook is "inappropriate" versus other sites (such as a blogging site?), but mine is not to reason why.

We are here at the hospital obviously. Elizabeth starting having contractions 8 minutes apart this morning at 6:15 am (eastern). These lasted for around an hour and then subsided. The contractions came and went all day and again became more regular this evening. We (meaning Chris, Bryan, Elizabeth, myself, Esther, my parents, and some family friends) were all at the Indianapolis Symphony downtown for their "happy hour" - a great way to experience the symphony. Elizabeth was a trooper and sat through the entire hour of music (ironically, Chris and I were the ones who had to leave before the end to relieve some of our own pressure caused from too many drinks during pre-symphony happy hour...) After the symphony, we waited for a few minutes to return to the condo (we had a showing from 6:30 to 7:30 pm), and then Elizabeth took a quick shower while Chris and I grabbed a quick bite to eat. Afterward, we finished packing our "bags" (and by bags I mean an entire army's worth of suitcase) and headed off to Community South accompanied by Chris. We checked into the hospital at 9:52 pm.

It is currently 10:55 pm, and we are getting the legalese download. Elizabeth has a seemingly endless mountain of paperwork to sign while suffering through her contractions. Chris just got back to the room a few minutes ago, carrying the aforementioned myriad of bags. He looked like a pack mule loaded down for a cross-country trek. We are so blessed and excited to have such a good friend here with us - thanks Chris!

Ok, well that is all the news for now. We will keep everyone updated as we progress. Thanks for all the prayers.
